El collage consiste en componer el objeto artístico pegando sobre una superficie fragmentos de materiales diversos (generalmente recortes de fotografías o periódicos, pero también trozos de tejidos, vidrio, etc.) para sugerir valores evocativos o simplemente calidades materiales inéditas.
